How I Find Comfort While Moving

Living as a digital nomad inherently requires a fair amount of travel as part of the lifestyle.

Whether it be an entire move to a new city or a quick weekend getaway to explore the faraway corners of places we may never have an opportunity to return to, the acts of packing and settling in and packing once again are a constant reality.

When preparing for a move, there are so many things on my mind, from worrying about the WiFi to the constant dread of fitting everything in the car to the excitement to come from new adventures.

One thing is always constant in each of these journeys: the importance of comfort and the reality of space.

Auditing My Wardrobe

While the moving process can be stressful, one of my favorite parts is the opportunity that moving gives us to take an audit of our lives.

Moving gives us a chance to reflect on what truly works for us.

To capture these experiences, we keep a journal of our favorite restaurants, activities, and memorable moments from each place we visit. During this time, we can slow down and figure out what is working and what isn’t.
